While the media has focused on the topic of gender disparity with respect to money and careers, the industry — and society as a whole — has done little to provide real solutions.

At WealthChoice, we’re here to change that.

Many high-performing female executives have taken all the steps that signify “success” in our society. They have lucrative careers. They have impressive degrees and certifications. They are at the top of their field. But many of them still aren’t happy.

We have met so many inspiring, successful women who feel burned out, unfulfilled, and overwhelmed by the stresses of their jobs. Many of them feel like they’re running on an endless hamster wheel with little time and energy to enjoy the fruits of their success. It’s a prevalent challenge for countless professional women — and it’s hardly discussed.

After years of working in the financial services industry, we found that these women were vastly underserved. We saw the biggest disparity in services geared toward female executives — women who need sophisticated financial planning, financial consulting, and money management guidance.

In the words of our founder, Bridget Venus Grimes:

I looked to align with other firms and advisors who were like-minded, but it became apparent that there were none.”

Women executives and professionals are long-overdue to have the financial resources they need to ensure their hard work translates into their ideal lifestyle. We decided to do something about it — and thus, WealthChoice was born. Today and every day, our mission is to empower women to take control of their wealth, make informed choices, feel happiness and joy, and pursue their dreams through the services we provide.

At WealthChoice, we are proud to uphold the fiduciary standard of care when serving our clients. We are a registered investment advisor (RIA) with the Advisory services offered through Equita Financial Network, an Investment Adviser with the State of Alabama, the State of California, the State of Georgia, the State of Minnesota, the State of Missouri, the State of Pennsylvania and the State of Tennessee, operating under a fee-only model that believes in serving you and only you — not a third party. This means that we:

  • Have an affirmative duty to act solely in your best interest when recommending financial strategies on your behalf, and to disclose all material facts or conflicts of interest that could compromise that duty.
  • Practice total transparency in sharing with you how we are compensated for the services we provide.
  • Uphold all standards and regulations under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, including an obligation to put you ahead of ourselves at all times.

Transparent Fees: We know that personal financial advice is valuable to the women executives we serve, so we have created a fee structure that allows us to serve clients regardless of assets or net worth. Our fee schedule includes retainer options and a flat-fee option, in addition to the more traditional percentage of assets over which we advise. Our goal is to work with all clients who are a good fit for our firm and can truly benefit from our guidance.

Ongoing Expertise: We are CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professionals who value and prioritize continual education to ensure that we are providing our clients with the most up-to-date information, expertise, and service possible. Meet Our Founder, Bridget Venus Grimes

Every entrepreneur has their own “origin story,” or the reason they chose to build their business. I chose to launch WealthChoice for a very deliberate reason — many years ago, I found myself in a divorce.

Up until that point, I had been too busy to be present in my financial needs. Between raising two young children, working, and taking care of the household, I had no time to think about my future or what I wanted out of my own life.

Shortly after my divorce, my two closest friends found themselves in very similar situations. It was then that I realized there were no solutions to help women facing these major life transitions — so I decided to create one. I set out to build a financial planning business that would provide professional women with exceptional advice and guidance so they could live the life they worked so hard to achieve. From there, WealthChoice was born.

When women are at a crossroads and left to make tough decisions, they need a community and support. I strive to be a “connector” and collaborator to awesome, inspiring women in business, a quality that is core to my other role as the co-founder of Equita Financial Network, a community for female financial advisors.

I pride myself on being a valued resource to my clients and my trusted advisors, and my passion is to help women get to a better place in life. I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, a fiduciary advisor, an educator, a speaker, a wife, and a mother. I love spending time with my husband on our boat in the San Diego Bay, cooking with amazing California produce, entertaining friends on our boat and at home, and spending time with and mentoring my children. Life is good — and I can’t wait to meet you.
